The St. Peter’s Hospital Association was formed in 1921 to create community interest in and provide volunteer service and financial support for St. Peter’s Health. Thanks to hundreds of devoted members during the past 100 years, we’ve fulfilled our founders’ mission in grand style.
Association members have served patients, loved ones and staff through tens of thousands of volunteer service hours. With the support of membership dues and the St. Peter’s Hospital Association Trust, the Association has donated well over $1 million to St. Peter’s for facility enhancements, state-of-the-art medical equipment, financial assistance for patients, patient-centered program support, and many other areas. All of the donations have helped St. Peter’s fulfill its community-based mission.
Since 1953, the Association’s Sock Sew volunteers have also designed, cut, sewn and decorated more than 4,000 baby-sized stockings for babies born at St. Peter’s in December, as well as more than 6,400 regular-size stockings for our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day patients.
Association members have individually and collectively performed many other important services for the benefit of St. Peter’s.
