St. Peter’s Health, in partnership with Prickly Pear Land Trust, is excited to announce the launch of the Hike It & Strike It Challenge, a new community wellness initiative designed to encourage outdoor activity and healthy living throughout the summer.

Running from June 1 through August 11, 2025, the challenge invites participants to explore Helena’s scenic trail systems by walking, running, biking, or hiking their way to a “bingo” on a specially designed trail card. Participants who complete five trails in a row, column, or diagonal will be entered into a drawing for a $1,000 cash prize. Those who complete the entire card (a blackout) will receive 12 entries into the drawing.

“This challenge is a fun and engaging way to get people moving, connect with nature, and enjoy the incredible trail systems we have right here in our backyard,” said Haley Feuerstein, Supervisor of Wellness Operations at St. Peter’s. “It’s also a great opportunity to promote wellness and community spirit.”

To participate, individuals must:

  • Complete trails listed on the official bingo card.
  • Take a time-stamped photo of the trail sign or track the hike using a smartwatch or app.
  • Submit their completed card by August 11, either in person at St. Peter’s Health (2475 Broadway St., Helena) or via email to wellness@sphealth.org.
  • Participants are encouraged to share their adventures on social media using the hashtag #HikeIt&StrikeIt.

The challenge also emphasizes trail etiquette and safety, including tips from Prickly Pear Land Trust on respecting wildlife, yielding appropriately and leaving no trace.
