Media Interviews and Escort
To protect the privacy and safety of our patients, staff, and visitors:
- All media interviews and visits must be coordinated in advance through the Communications team
- Media must be escorted at all times while on St. Peter’s Health property
- Photography, video, or audio recording is not permitted without prior approval
- Consent is required before interviewing or filming patients and staff

Patient Privacy & HIPAA
St. Peter's Health is responsible for protecting the privacy and confidentiality of patients' information. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) regulates privacy standards for health care information. HIPAA regulations specify the purposes for which information may and may not be released with authorization from the patient. In most cases, St. Peter's Health will release a condition report: undetermined, good, fair, serious, critical or deceased. Media queries must specifically identify the patient by first and last name.
