The Quality Department's mission is to provide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) resources to service lines throughout St. Peter's Health.

The Quality Department consists of the following:

  • Quality Improvement

  • Patient Centered Services (Patient Safety, Patient Advocacy, and Patient Experience)

  • Accreditation

  • Medical Staff Services

  • Physician Peer Review

  • Infection Prevention

Quality Assurance is accomplished through: 

  • Chart Reviews to verify accurate documentation or investigate a grievance
  • Internal Audits of departments and specific processes
  • Surveillance of infectious cases
  • Rounding of various service areas
