St. Peter’s Infusion Clinic Nurse Kara Culpon, RN and Labor and Delivery Nurse Sydnee Sather, RN, received DAISY Awards for exceptional nurses. DAISY Awardees are selected quarterly from nominations submitted by St. Peter’s patients, their families and colleagues.

As a nurse in the Infusion Clinic, Culpon interacts with patients on a regular basis. The patient who nominated her said Culpon was an integral part of her successful battle with cancer. “Kara’s attentiveness and professionalism were evident in every interaction, from administering treatments to ensuring I was comfortable and informed. She showed genuine concern for my well-being, often going above and beyond her duties to advocate for my care along with providing support and encouragement during a challenging period of my life.”

Sather was nominated by a patient’s mother who wanted to recognize her for her calm and positive demeanor while her daughter was delivering her first grandchild. “Sydnee was the perfect person at the perfect time. Her skill set was beyond the physical and medical side of labor and delivery. She attended to our mental needs with the primary focus being on my daughter and her husband, reassuring them and keeping them calm throughout the whole process. She took the anxiety out of the delivery room.”
