St. Peter’s Health’s Suzette Jensen, CNA/CHHA and Patty Dahlstrom received inaugural BEE Awards. A companion to the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, the BEE Award is given to any exceptional general or professional St. Peter’s staff member nominated by patients, their family members and colleagues.

Jensen is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and has been with the St. Peter’s Home Health & Hospice team for two years, working prior as a CNA on the medical floor at the Regional Medical Center. A family member of a patient who received home health assistance, and eventually hospice care from Jensen nominated her for her kind and compassionate care. They shared, “my father-in-law can be having a bad day, but as soon as I tell him that Suzette is coming he immediately cheers up and has more energy.”

Dahlstrom is a Patient Services Technician on the St. Peter’s Nutrition Services team. A nurse on the medical floor nominated her for her thoughtfulness delivering meal trays to patient rooms. The nomination stated, “Patty arranges trays, opens food, cuts food if needed and always lets nursing know if a patient isn’t in a safe eating position.” Dahlstrom has worked at St. Peter’s for five years.
