August 22, 2023

St. Peter's Health Foundation is thrilled to announce a special luncheon event dedicated to honoring the remarkable efforts of our community’s beloved sewing and quilting groups. These talented and dedicated individuals have generously provided comfort and care to countless individuals in need through their gifts of handcrafted quilts, blankets and garments.

The event will take place on August 24, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Peter’s Heath Education Center located at the Regional Medical Center. This heartfelt gathering aims to recognize the outstanding contributions made by the sewing and quilting community in supporting patients facing health and wellness challenges.

Over the years, these compassionate artisans have skillfully crafted an array of quilts and garments that have brought warmth and solace to the most vulnerable members of our society. From newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to patients undergoing cancer treatment, their handmade creations have woven threads of hope and healing into the lives of those they touch.

"The impact of the sewing and quilting groups cannot be overstated. Their dedication and creativity have left an indelible mark on our community, and their acts of kindness have brought comfort to so many during their times of greatest need," said Stephen Mason, Vice President of St. Peter's Health Foundation. "This luncheon is a small token of our immense gratitude for the tireless efforts of these amazing volunteers."

The St. Peter's Health Foundation invites members of the press, community leaders, and valued supporters to join in this celebration of love and compassion.
