Our path to the gold standard includes creating and strengthening relationships with regional partners. These partnerships and affiliations increase collaboration, help improve access to care and provide more resources for our providers, patients and communities.
University of Utah Health
In November 2018, we announced an academic affiliation with University of Utah Health. The affiliation provides St. Peter's with access to University of Utah physicians, specialists and clinical staff through telehealth, as well as the sharing of clinical best practices, research advances, operational efficiencies and a wide range of educational resources.
Frontier Psychiatry
In March 2021, St. Peter's Health partnered with Billings-based Frontier Psychiatry to become the first health care system in the state to provide telepsychiatry services through Frontier's OnCall service. The partnership makes the locally informed, on-demand telepsychiatry solution available to members of the St. Peter’s Health Mobile Crisis Response Team for patients of all ages and to clinicians in the St. Peter’s Health emergency department and pediatric unit for patients under the age of 18 experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Huntsman Cancer Institute at University of Utah
In April 2021, we announced an affiliation with Huntsman Cancer Institute at University of Utah. The affiliation with Huntsman Cancer Institute enables patients undergoing cancer and hematology care at St. Peter's Health to access a broader variety of treatment options along with top cancer experts at Huntsman Cancer Institute, including those who specialize in rare and complex cancers. Building on the strength of St. Peter’s existing affiliation with University of Utah Health, the oncology affiliation will also expedite care for St. Peter's patients requiring sophisticated procedures at Huntsman Cancer Institute and ensure seamless coordination of their ongoing care when they return to the Helena area.
